The joys of being tired....

For starters, you forget that you needed to do laundry so you end up going to work looking....uh....interesting. I was seriously considering a skirt today since my jeans are all dirty, but a skirt is not exactly smart when you are boxing things up, moving things around and just generally getting dirty. I found my black capri exercise pants in the back of the closet and threw them on (luckily I shaved this morning!)and then pulled on an old green shirt that I don't really wear anymore. It doesn't look bad....just not my usual office fare. Since I am still modifying switches today (which includes using caulk) its an outfit I don't mind messing up so that's a plus. At least I can look back at this week and be satisfied with all that I accomplished here at work. It doesn't make me any less tired, but at least I have something to show for it.

I am really looking forward to the weekend. Annie invited me to go to SLC tonight with her and a friend to ride the tram and wander the mall and Temple Square, but I declined. I don't think I will be working late tonight but I need an evening just doing nothing nothing and more nothing. Maybe I will go over to the lake and snap a few shots of the sunset but that's about as energetic as I plan to get.

Saturday is homework and cleaning....and baking a pound cake for sunday....with a movie or two thrown in.

Sunday should be fun....I don't know if anyone else is showing up for dinner but I picked up a small spiral ham, and am making that along with mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus (Jase is making the rolls) and then for dessert we will be having berry shortcake (I picked up a mix of raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries....served on the poundcake it should be amazingly delicious!)

I also picked up additional berries that are in the freezer now....Annie found the box with my blender and I have some nonfat vanilla yogurt at home so its berry smoothie for breakfast tomorrow! (mmmmm.....anybody else drooling yet?) Needless to say dad BRING IT ON!

I have noticed a few times comments have been made about seeing some of my class work posted. You have been heard and I will respond....a few assignments will be posted over the weekend. Not a ton, but I will post some of it and I will try putting the items I talk about online from now on so you can see what I am talking about. Don't expect amazingness like the works of Waterhouse or DaVinci...I am still a beginner in most of my programs....but I do have some pieces I am really happy with.

Anyway, enough talking...I need to get going on my work day. The more I finish today the better I will feel about going home on time today.

I'm sorry to say but this summer you will be kicking yourself all around the block for letting dad get that much of a jump on you... Plan on seeing me on judgment day.... While you are baking berry shortcake I will be taking my belt up another notch...
