Today I set my alarm for 5 a.m.
I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it...and I did.
While I can't say I literally bounced out of bed, I was able to get right up, find some clothes and head straight for the shower feeling, remarkably, refreshed.
I then had breakfast (wow...I'd forgotten what that was like), fed the cat, did homework, listened to my MP3 player while I made my bed, folded my laundry and actually put it away. I had time to write and mail a thank you card, clean out the litterbox, take out my bedroom trash and play with the cat for awhile before casually making my way to work, happy knowing that my chores for the day were already done....I left my room looking clean and a happily purring cat curling up on my bed for 40 winks.
Wow.
In in a few small hours I accomplished more than I have in the past couple of nights. I'd forgotten I once was a morning person and, while I glanced nervously at the clock a few times, I was constantly surprised to find I still had loads of time before I had to be out the door and on my way.
I liked it.
I think I'll be a morning girl again......

I know what you mean! I'm shocked at how quickly I can get things accomplished when I set a goal and do them early in the morning.
You're a strong woman! That's hard. I'm NOT a morning person.
Your words inspire us all to do so as well...
perhaps.
